Today is supposed to be my Rest Day, it's a good thing because my quads are killing me from that trail run yesterday. While I was driving home from getting Kaitlyn I was thinking about how sore I still am (which is a good thing, because sore = a good workout) and I realized that there is one part of my body that did not hurt yesterday while I was running, and still does not hurt today...my knee! That's huge news! Makes me wonder, is pounding the treadmill not good for it? Should I be out running on other sorts of ground? Although I'm sure we won't be running through the forest, or the grass for the marathon, so I should probably get used to pounding the pavement, but still, I'm kind of excited that I made it through that workout and I'm not having any issues with the dreaded knee, although I probably just jinxed myself.
Even though today is a Rest Day, I'm contemplating going for a short jog tonight after the hubby gets home. It's been a rough week in our house, the little one has decided that she doesn't like to sleep anymore and after 2.5 years of being a pretty good sleeper, she's now getting up every 2-3 hours and screaming at the top of her lungs, it's horrible, I think I may be getting a total of 4 hours of sleep a night between her screaming and Dave's snoring, I'm losing this battle big time, which means my fuse is also really really short. It doesn't help that it's just me and her until 7:30 everynight, I'm about ready to blow right now and it's only 6:00. I've never really WANTED to or had an URGE to run before, but all I want to do right now is put on my shoes and get out of the house and blow off some steam before my head spins off...we'll see how the rest of the night goes :)
